Previous Projects

The first project undertaken by the Centre For Retirement Reform (CRR) was an extensive consumer research exercise in partnership with Oddfellows, one of its primary sponsors.

The research was conducted with more than 1500 consumers from two key groups; one made up of people approaching retirement and the other of those in retirement already. The extensive questionnaire completed by these people covered a very wide range of topical and crucial issues, including relative reliance on state and private pensions, the availability and quality of advice and guidance, retirement age, gradual retirement and general understanding and perceptions of pension planning options, adequacy of income and more.

The breadth and detail of the survey, the sample size and the salience of the issues investigated with these two key groups ensured the results were an important contribution to the ongoing debate on retirement reform.
